There are several options for recycling appliances:
Appliances can be brought to a business that recycles appliances. Please contact them for the latest guidelines and information.

Appliances including air conditioners (including wall and window units), appliance compressors, bilge pumps, dehumidifiers, dishwashers, dryers, freezers, furnaces, gas-powered appliances, garbage disposals, heat pumps, hot water heaters, ice makers, microwaves, pool heaters (natural gas), ranges, refrigerators, stackable washers and dryers (treated as one unit), stoves, sump pumps, trash compactors, washers, and water coolers.
$15 per appliance. Cash, check, major credit cards, and debit cards accepted.
Commercial-grade appliances. This includes: commercial or rooftop air conditioning units, laundromat-sized washers and dryers, restaurant-type refrigerators and freezers, vending machines and water fountains. Also not accepted by Hennepin County: Small appliances and electronics, including bread makers, coffee makers, coffee pots, curling irons, electric can openers, hair dryers, hair straighteners, heating pads, griddles, paper shredders, toaster ovens and toasters.
