Give it away or sell it

If the TV still works, give it away or sell it. It is illegal to put products containing a cathode ray tube (CRT) or fluorescent lamp, such as TVs, in the garbage.

Electronics are accepted for recycling by some manufacturers and retailers.

Check with your city recycling contact or waste hauler to see if they offer curbside electronics recycling options.

$10 for each TV. Cash, check, major credit cards, and debit cards accepted.

Drop-off limit

Up to 5 TVs per household per 12 month period

Drop-off facilities do not accept:

No televisions used for business purposes, including home businesses and property managers.

Rethink and reduce

Buy ENERGY STAR Certified electronics.
