Shoreline Drive intersection improvement

Information about the project where shared at a series of meetings in late fall 2015/early spring 2016, including to the Marshall Terrace Neighborhood, Sheridan Neighborhood Organization, Above the Falls Citizen Advisory Committee, St. Anthony West Neighborhood/Land Use and Planning Committee and the Bottineau Neighborhood Board.

METRO B Line bus rapid transit (BRT)

The METRO B Line will serve the Lake Street corridor, largely replacing Route 21 from St. Louis Park through south Minneapolis to downtown St. Paul via Marshall and Selby avenues. The project began construction in 2023 and is scheduled to finish in 2025.

Lake Street improvements

In coordination with the METRO B Line project, Hennepin County is working to improve safety for people walking, biking and rolling along Lake Street (County Road 3). Work on part of the corridor was finished in 2023 and will continue in 2024.

Highway 55/Hiawatha Avenue repaving

In 2023, MnDOT completed a resurfacing of Highway 55/Hiawatha Avenue between I-35W and Highway 62. The work included resurfacing the road, repairing three bridges along the corridor, and making accessibility improvements at intersections.
