Lyndale Avenue North reconstruction scheduled to begin next week
Preconstruction work underway
Crews have begun preconstruction activities on Lyndale Avenue North (County Road 152) between 41st Avenue and north of Webber Parkway (County Road 152) to prepare the area for construction.
This work includes adding temporary signals and widening Lyndale Avenue temporarily to maintain one lane of traffic in each direction during construction.
We anticipate completing this work this week so full reconstruction work can begin Monday, May 16.
Reconstruction work begins with southbound lanes
Crews need to replace underground utilities and rebuild the roadway and sidewalks. For this stage, work will begin on the southbound lanes. We anticipate this work to take up to two months to complete.
Both lanes of traffic will shift to the northbound lanes. People should also be aware there will be periods when parts of the 41st and 42nd avenue intersections will need to close. We will inform you of those impacts as we have updates.
Accessing local businesses on Lyndale Avenue
We will maintain sidewalk access for people to get to local businesses on Lyndale Avenue between 41st Avenue and Webber Parkway.
There will be openings to driveways or signed alternate routes using nearby streets to access these businesses for people driving.
Crews remove existing roadway and curbs to widen Lyndale Avenue North temporarily.
Work on 45th Avenue and Webber Parkway continues
Meanwhile, crews continue work in other areas of the project zone.
Crews completed all the underground work, graded the roadway and poured curbs on the west segment of Webber Parkway between Fremont and 43rd avenues, the triangle intersection connecting 44th Avenue, 45th Avenue and Webber Parkway, and 45th Avenue between Memorial Parkway and west of Shingle Creek Parkway.
Next, crews will begin paving the roadway and trails, and pouring sidewalks. When this work is done in the next few weeks, we will reopen 45th Avenue to all traffic.
Because of other work in the area, the completed segment of Webber Parkway will only open to local traffic and will need to remain closed to through traffic.

Construction on the segment of Webber Parkway between 43rd Avenue and Lyndale Avenue continues with crews focused on replacing underground utilities and rebuilding the roadway.
This segment will take longer to complete due to the amount of underground utility work required compared to the west segment.
2022 construction schedule
You can expect some work along the segment of 44th Avenue completed last year, as Metro Transit crews continue their work on the new METRO D-Line arterial bus rapid transit (BRT) stations between Penn and Oliver avenues and Girard and Fremont avenues.
You will see county construction activities on the following segments of the Webber 44 corridor:
- 45th Avenue between Memorial Parkway and west of Shingle Creek Parkway
- Webber Parkway (County Road 152) between 44th and Lyndale avenue
- Triangle intersection connecting 44th Avenue, 45th Avenue and Webber Parkway
- Lyndale Avenue (County Road 152) between Webber Parkway and south of 41st Avenue
