Reporting
If ordered to report to the Adult Corrections Facility, it is your responsibility to report on the date and time issued by the court. Only your sentencing judge may change the report date and time. If you report late, your sentencing judge and probation officer may be notified.

Transportation
If you do not have transportation to the facility, you may report to the Public Safety Facility located in downtown Minneapolis by 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) for transport by Adult Corrections Facility officers.
Metro Transit offers transportation options to the facility Monday through Friday. Route 771 stops at the facility, and route 776 stops within one mile of the facility. Service is subject to change.
Temporary short-term parking is available to residents. However, it is recommended that you have someone drop you off and pick you up from the facility. The facility is not responsible for vehicles or their contents.
- Male resident parking is located on the south side of the men’s section building (entrance D).
- Female resident parking is on the east side of the women’s section building (entrance A).
Other information
Do not consume alcohol or illegal drugs prior to reporting to the facility. If you test positive for alcohol or illegal drugs, you will be subject to disciplinary action and may be ineligible for work release and furloughs. Discipline reports of reporting impaired to the facility may be forwarded to your sentencing judge and probation officer.
Smoking, use of electronic cigarettes and other forms of tobacco are not allowed at the facility.

What to bring
When you report, you must bring:
- Identification (i.e., driver's license or state issued ID)
- Copy of your Warrant of Commitment issued by the court
Medical
Money
Only cash can be deposited into a resident’s personal account. Other monetary items (checks, money orders, etc.) will be held with the residents personal property until they are released.
What not to bring
Valuables, such as checkbooks, credit cards, jewelry, keys and cellphones should not be brought to the facility when reporting for admission.
Do not bring children when you are reporting.
Personal books and magazines are not allowed, unless received directly from the publisher and only through the US Mail. You will have access to Hennepin County Library materials while residing at the facility.
Admissions
Upon admission you will be strip searched by a same sex correctional staff to prevent contraband from entering the facility.
Anything not specifically authorized or issued by the facility is contraband. If suspected of introducing or possessing contraband, you will be subject to disciplinary action and possible criminal prosecution. Any weapon will be confiscated.
All personal items not allowed in the facility will be inventoried and stored until discharged.
Clothing, undergarments and shoes will be provided upon admission.
Hygiene kits will be provided upon admission.
A variety of personal care, snacks, writing materials and personal radios are available for purchase at the facility’s canteen for residents serving more than five days.
ACF fees
Fees (PDF) may be assessed during your stay depending on the programming options you participate in.
All fees must be paid in full before canteen can be ordered.

- Fees are payable by cash only through the cashier machine in the lobby. There is a fee to use this machine.
- Fees may be paid online.
You can request a waiver for room, board and home monitoring fees due to financial circumstances. A sliding fee scale based on federal poverty guidelines is used to determine eligibility for fee reductions. The fee waiver form (PDF) and supporting documentation should be given to staff within two weeks of booking date.
It can be brought with you when you report.
